John R. O'Meara, MD, FACC
Dr. O'Meara attended Colby College and received his BA degree from the University of Vermont. He received his MD degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, trained in Internal Medicine at Hartford Hospital and the University of Connecticut Health Center, and returned to the University of Vermont for his Cardiology training, where he stayed on for an additional year of specialized training in invasive cardiology and nuclear imaging. He completed additional training in nuclear imaging at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. O'Meara's areas of special interest include cardiac catheterization and nuclear imaging, as well as medical education. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and is Director of the Maine Medical Center Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and nuclear cardiology, and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
