Dr. Alpern received his medical degree from the University of Colorado and trained in internal medicine at the Maine Medical Center. He trained in cardiology at the Maine Medical Center and the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Alpern's academic appointments include Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Vermont College of Medicine. He has served as President of the Medical Staff at Maine Medical Center and is the Medical Director of the Turning Point Cardiac Rehabilitation program at Maine Medical Center. His clinical interests include cardiac prevention and wellness. Dr. Alpern is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology.
