The cardiologists and staff at Cardiovascular Consultants of Maine (CCM) are dedicated to providing the best possible clinical care to our patients. This includes CCM's active involvement in medical research. Medical research is often conducted through clinical trials which are structured to help to find new and better ways to 'treat' patients with certain medical conditions.
The Cardiovascular Consultants of Maine Research Department is devoted to improving the quality of life of our cardiovascular patients. Involvement in clinical trials allows us to offer the latest cardiovascular medications, devices, diagnostic testing, and treatment options to our patients. These services are offered at no additional cost to our patients. CCM has multiple clinical trials available and currently may include treatments for heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, abnormal heart rhythms, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
